The Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. in cooperation with NVA Thai Market and the Thai Restaurant Association(TRAA) is hosting the Sawasdee DC Thai Festival 2025 on Sept 14,2025 at the National Mall, celebrating 192 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the United States.

The festival, coinciding with the lead-up to the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, offers a mix of Thai food, music, art, fashion, and contemporary performances. More than 45 vendors are offering authentic and fusion Thai cuisine, alongside cultural showcases such as Muay Thai, traditional massage, handicrafts, and live performances that highlight Thailand’s heritage and creativity for both American and international audiences.

On September 12, a reception dinner in Washington welcomed guests ahead of the festival. Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse described the event as an opportunity to strengthen Thai–American friendship while sharing the vibrancy of Thai culture abroad.
