DC Minimum Wage Updates (Effective July 1, 2025):

✅ Non-Tipped Workers:
• Minimum wage will increase from $17.50 to $17.95 per hour
• Applies to all employers, regardless of size

⛔ Tipped Workers:
• Planned wage increase from $10 to $12/hour has been paused by the D.C. Council
• This was part of Initiative 82, which passed in 2022 with nearly 75% voter support
• Supporters of the pause say it protects small businesses
• Critics argue it goes against voter intent and hurts tipped workers
